People v. Paris Drake, New York County
A homeless man allegedly struck a woman with a brick while walking on 42nd Street. In a case of first impression, the defense was permitted to call an expert on eyewitness identification to challenge the identification procedures used to identify the client. The client was acquitted of attempted murder and robbery.

People v. Isabel Nieves, Richmond County
The client, an off-duty New York City police officer, was charged with felony assault on another police officer during a car stop. The case was ultimately dismissed by the court. The client brought a police brutality lawsuit in federal court against the City of New York and the police officers involved. A civil jury found that the police officer had used excessive force.

People v. John Torraco, Queens County
A case of first impression in New York State. Although he had complied with the Firearms Owners Protection Act, a federal statute, the client was nonetheless arrested for transporting an unloaded firearm on a domestic flight to Florida. The Court dismissed the gun charges against the client based on federal preemption. The client is suing the Port Authority in federal court for violating his right to travel and malicious prosecution.

People v. Marlene Tejada, Kings County
A 16-year-old female charged with second-degree murder after she allegedly poisoned her 1-year-old goddaughter with liquid detergent. The client pleaded guilty to negligent manslaughter.

State v. Walker, Essex County
The law firm represented one of the alleged principals in the largest burglary ring in New Jersey history.

State v. Eilleen Espejo, Bergen County
Louis Zayas represented an alleged manager in one of the largest cocaine busts in Bergen County history. The client pleaded guilty to a third-degree offense.
